To give a sense of what is possible, a sample five day program is given below.

Day 1
Our program begins with a private reception and tour at the Museum of Newport History. This lively introduction to Newport's history offers glimpses of people, past and present, who have made this one of America's most historic cities.

Day 2
Explore Newport's oldest neighborhood and its most prominent colonial churches and buildings. This walk includes stops inside some of Newport's architectural landmarks, including the city's oldest standing residence, the circa 1675 Wanton-Lyman-Hazard House, where you will hear about exciting discoveries from recent archeology, the 1699 Great Friends Meeting House, where Quakers from throughout New England met for over two centuries and the 1739 Newport Colony House, one of the seats of Rhode Island's colonial legislature and the site of important events during the American Revolution.

Day 3
Discover Newport's legacy of liberty on a tour of its religious landmarks, the result of the city's pioneering religious freedom. Visit three architectural treasures from the colonial period: Trinity Church, Touro Synagogue, and the Seventh Day Baptist Meeting House.

Day 4
Enjoy one of Newport's earliest colonial neighborhoods, established by Quakers and the home of merchants, furniture makers, and crafts people from the 1700s through the present. Tour the Preservation Society of Newport County's Hunter House, a mid-eighteenth century building with an outstanding paneled interior and superb collection of Newport furniture. Visit modern day craft shops in the neighborhood.

Day 5
Discover Newport's dazzling Gilded Age set against the beautiful backdrop of the rugged Atlantic coastline. Enjoy the famous Cliff Walk while learning about the architects, owners and staff of Newport's mansions by the sea. Our walk will conclude at the Breakers, where you will tour this spectacular "summer cottage," before embarking on a guided ride along scenic Bellevue Avenue and Ocean Drive.
